The gallery is pleased to attend Positions Berlin during the Berlin Art Week from September 11th to 14th.
For its first international participation at Positions Berlin Art Fair, Electron Libre Gallery will unveil four works by two emerging artists on the European scene through the lens of « Echoes of the Matter ».
These two artists explore materiality and perception through structure, texture, and visual identity.
- Katsumi Hayakawa (Japan) constructs miniature urban landscapes, oscillating between utopia and futuristic ruin, questioning our relationship with space and architecture. His intricate microstructures reflect on the construction and fragmentation of the modern world.
- Henry James (Nigeria) reinterprets portraiture by integrating African wax fabric, a material rich in history and cultural identity. By blending paint and textile, he imbues the human figure with a vibrant materiality, exploring notions of memory, heritage, and transformation.
