Positions Berlin, DE: "Light in form"

10 - 13 September 2026
Overview

For its second participation at Positions Art Fair in Berlin, Electron Libre will unveil works by three artists, united by their critical interrogation of the contemporary environment through the lens of « Light in form ».

This proposition brings together the works of Clara Tournay, Yong Rae Kwon, and Christophe Rollin around a shared exploration of light as a structural element of form and perception.

Clara Tournay’s sculptures, created from molded plexiglass and glass, capture and refract light through translucent volumes, transforming transparency into sculptural presence.

In contrast, Yong Rae Kwon constructs luminous compositions in which reflection, layering, and optical interaction reshape the viewer’s perception of space.

Complementing this dialogue, the work of Christophe Rollin introduces a stark, material counterpoint.

Drawing from his background in civil engineering, Rollin creates sculptures that act as physical manifestations of anthropocentrism.

His pieces, often manifesting as critical, polished reflections on technological progress and consumerism, challenge the viewer to confront the "hidden side of things."

By juxtaposing his tactile, socially charged forms with the ethereal qualities of light, the exhibition investigates how luminous phenomena can both construct and destabilize form.

Placed in dialogue, the works of these three artists reveal how light moves beyond simple illumination to become an active, sometimes intrusive, component of sculpture.

Through this encounter, the presentation explores the dynamic field between material presence and perceptual experience, offering a contemporary and innovative reflection on our ever-changing, tech-driven environment.
